Garage Studio Buildout
June was a busy month for us. With my mother moving down from up north, it was finally time to transform the garage into a full creative studio so she could have her own room in the house. Her space turned out perfect — classic old-lady pink with white trim and even a rebuilt soffit. It came together beautifully, and she’s thrilled with it.
Meanwhile, the garage buildout became my dream workspace. We finished the drywall, added fresh paint, installed new electrical, and put in a split air system to keep it cool year-round. A plush black carpet ties everything together, giving it that cozy, modern-studio vibe.
Once the space was ready, I pulled my guitar cabinets out of storage and set up a proper creative station. Now I’ve got everything in one place — game development, video editing, and audio production — all under one roof. I even picked up a second workstation for my son, Korben, in the back corner so he has room to work alongside me.
He’s already diving into Unreal 5 Blueprint tutorials, laying the foundation for his own career in game development — with Prong Games as his first gig.
