I finished another pass on Audio FX work last week, so now circling back to the music themes on Retro. I’m trying to ride that line between old school arcade, but with a little less toon-like and a little more atmosphere. A little orchestral but keeping a foot firmly in the sci-fi type of sounds and pulse style rhythms.
The one challenge of working from your home studio, is completely being overrun by the kiddos when they see a new toy setup, and dad’s Keyboards are that perfect play factory. lol. So I have some work to do. With any luck I should be finished with this current theme pass by the end of next week, then this will mark kind of the end of the large ticket asset items for the game. It should be mostly plugging holes that were missed and refinements at that point. |
