Hello Blog…

Hello Stranger… :-)

It’s been exactly a month since I posted anything on this thing. Ivana reminded me its still here this evening.

Well things have been moving along here shifting and turning as usual. We’re right on the tail end of finishing up the next EverQuest II expansion that ships towards the end of Nov. Tomorrow I have to finish the final Shader pass and close this zone down. For a change I am right on the deadline this time running out the clock…ugh.. It’s looking pretty tight though. I think it’s the coolest thing I’ve done yet for EQ2.

I have support assets that need to be done through next month helping out some fellow artists on their zones and then we’ll be done with it. Looking forward to another expansion down and moving on.

On a different but similar front, Retro Assault for Ipad is tentatively slated for a Nov 30th launch. That’s the target date just in time for Xmas so that is exciting. I have a huge chunk of the ship art done on it and It’s running on the Ipad Hardware. Pretty cool.

On the film front things are moving, but slowly. Since we are closing in on the RA launch date, the film stuff is a little less of a priority at the moment. I’m still working away on the Hellspawn screenplay, but it’s a little slow going until I get this large art push out of the way….the downside of working on multiple projects at once. sigh…

An unrelated note. I purchased a Mapex Meridian jazz drum kit and a Mackie 8 channel 1200w powered mixer for hosting some free form jams at the homestead. We have a lot of musical friends so I thought it would be fun having a full band outfit at the house where we can invite some people over for a little jam’n and booz’n. lol…

I haven’t touched a drum kit in over two decades so this should be kind of funny. We’ll have some Microphones for anyone who wants to sing, howl, or yodel some cover tunes. :-) Ill be sending out an event flyer for it soon.

  1. Great to hear things are settling down and can’t wait to see what Retro Assault looks like. Very cool.

Wanna see the longest death scene ever?

  2. Hey my fellow Baconites :) Can’t wait to get the band together. Like Jake Joliet Blues said “it is a directive of God”.
